I am going to include various examples of lessons and performances by me as they become available. Many of these are from youtube and I do recommend parental supervision so that younger students don't begin wandering into the undesirable sections of youtube.

Some of the videos are not the best examples of the pieces but they give the young student an idea of how some of these pieces are played.

Demonstration of Jay's Drumming
  • History of Drums
This is a solo that was down by me at a local school that I teach private lessons at.
  • All the Things You Are
This was a trio performance at the same recital that History of Drums was performed at.

Clarinet Demonstrations

Rudimental Drumming
  • Crazy Army
This is an old style Rudimental Solo that has been used extensively by more modern drummers.
  • Crazy Army for Drumset
This is the same drum solo played by Steve Gadd on the drum set. Once Steve plays the theme then he begins to improvise on it. The is a great example of the application of rudiments to the drum set
  • Old Guard Fife and Drum
Excellent demonstration of an 18th century drum line.
  • Top Secret Drum Corps
    A more modern drum line.
  • Blast! Drumline Battle
Blast was a tour that went through out the country. It was a great demonstration of modern drum line and the complicated rudimental approach.
  • Trash Can Drum-line
All parents should show this to their child who is saying that they can't learn to play drums unless they have that shiny new $1500.00 Drum set. Reminds me of my first drum.
